Basia -The Fiery Horse

Basia (Pronounced like Basha) is a Czechoslovakian name which means “fire.”

I finished my quilt for the project quilting a day late, but considering I started cutting fabric on Friday night, I think I did good getting it finished. I decided to add orange tulle over the raw edge appliqué. I quilted fireworks with a clear flat holographic thread and added beads, and gold satin stitching to the harness. I used about six shades of red, orange, and yellow thread to stitch the horses mane. The finished piece was wrapped on 12x16x1.5” canvas.
