Felted Portrait

This evening I worked on a new project. I am working on a wool felt project of a fox. Sophie Whetely is offering a free on line class this week. I’m playing catchup because we spent the day at the Paducah Quilt Museum. We were privileged to see the work of Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry and SAQA’s third and final Primal Forces exhibit - Fire. I will post picture later this week.

I had a hard time starting. My needle would not go through any of my fabric. I finally got out a second needle and it went right through. when I lay the needles side by side I realised the 1st one was broken.

I followed the video and was able to finish the first eye. Here are process shots.
