Project Quilting Season 17 Week 4 -Of Another Era

For this week’s challenge I chose the Art Deco era as my inspiration for the “Of Another Era” theme. I designed a piece using lots of geometric and straight lines of the art deco era of art and incorporated it into a stain glass quilt using batik and cotton fabrics. I used sand colored Glide polyester thread for my glass leading. I think I will name this piece “City Nightlife”

My pattern and beginning of appliqué pieces. You can see I forgot to reverse the pattern when creating the fused pieces so instead of wasting pieces I just reversed the moon and finished what I started.

Start of the satin stitching. Finished the rest of stitching but lots of threads to tuck.
